Taste the most famous grilled mici produced in a local butcher shop

Mici or “naked” sausages – made with beef and pork meat, garlic, sodium bicarbonate and other spices. Cooked on a charcoal hot grill. They are best served with mustard, white bread and an extra-cold pint of beer. Street food made in heaven!

Try some cheese pastry and the most popular pretzels

Taste a wide variety of local cheese pastry and small rolls with Turkish delight filling in the tiniest hole-in-the-wall bakery in Bucharest. It’s a family-owned business and they are famous among all foodies in the neighborhood!

Enjoy the most delicious Romanian zacusca and a selection of local cheeses and cold meats

Enjoy hodemade zacusca and a mouth-watering selection of cold cuts and vegetarian starters – sourced from local vegetable producers and farmers’ markets.

Try the best eclairs in Bucharest

You cannot visit Bucharest and not taste the best sweets the city has to offer! The eclairs are, Oh-My-God, I could write a poem about each one and win a Nobel prize. The jury would have no choice. The crown jewel, the lime and basil eclair – whose recipe was stolen, most probably, from God’s kitchen – is something to talk about 10 years from now and still have a smile on your face.

Drinks for the thirsty

Bucharest highlights through a glass of local rose wine or beer for the ones who love to walk on clouds. A lemonade for the others. All you need to know and more. History, architecture, stories told by a local friend with stops in all kinds of yummy places.

I asked for a very specific tour of Romanian Orthodox churches and monasteries. Laura customized the itinerary and I was able to see everything that I wanted to see. She was extremely knowledgeable about the sites, was patient wanted to stay longer, etc. She also provided excellent recommendations on where to eat authentic Romanian food and purchase authentic icons. I highly recommend Laura as a tour guide.

We really enjoyed the tour with Laura! She was very personable and friendly and extremely knowledgeable! We asked her to change the tour plan from the original plan and she was super easy about it and was able to accommodate our request and knew much information about the subject even though it was not preplanned… she was just a wonderful tour guide! We would definitely recommend her as well as use her again!!
